Trip To Spain Inspires Entrepreneur Ideas For Teens

I read an interesting story today about two teenagers who took a trip to Spain and returned with some entrepreneur ideas that could inspire a lot of teens.
Ryan Farr and Tommy Hum-Hyder discovered some really cool designer bow ties on their trip and decided to return home and try to manufacture custom bow ties and market them in their hometown of Hanover, New Hampshire. The details of their story can be found in this story
They have started slowly with their simple income idea but they have intentions of growing this business to become a substantial money maker.
As I thought about their venture I wondered why someone couldn't start a small home business similar to this bow tie business and market the business through a simple web site.
Consider another teen entrepreneur, C. Harley Ellis. Here is a portion of his story.
'
C. Harley is the visionary, inventor and founder behind 'Micro-Kites™', which as the name implies are - 'small handcrafted' kites. The Micro-Kite™ was originally conceptualized as a full size recyclable kite, made from a plastic grocery bag, straws and finishing line. C. Harley estimates that it took him approximately 20 minutes to rapid prototype his first kite, unfortunately, it did not pass beta mode in its first test flight. In the famous words of C. Harley 'it failed miserably'. A true entrepreneur and innovator, he quickly realized the first idea is seldom the best one and spent the next few days trying to figure out how to improve on his original idea. After a few days had passed, he had his AHA moment and creative breakthrough when he noticed some kids struggling to control a 'full size' kite. He would create a small kite that anyone could use, yet was simple to fly and easy enough to be managed by a small child. This genius idea led to the design of a 5.5 x 5 inch kite.

Teenagers who become entrepreneurial are more likely to be successful in adulthood. They are also more likely to be able to afford more of their wants during their high school years. Bow ties and micro kites are good examples of creative ideas that have led to lucrative simple business ideas!

How To Make Money When You Have None Yourself

The economy is stagnant and people who live in the real world know that the unemployment rate is much higher than the federal government is reporting (see http://shadowstats.com). A lot of the chronically unemployed people would start their own business if they felt they could afford it.

A good example of the dollar numbers involved in a small business can be found in the start up costs for a lawn service, a shaved ice cart and a typical  A lawn service can easily be started with $1000.00 but it s recommended that a $3000.00 amount be set aside to expand the equipment inventory as the business begins to grow. A shaved ice business can be started for under $6000.00. Most of that expense, the cart, can run as much as $4000.00. A typical franchise opportunity can easily reach $100,000.00.

You can easily see that many people are shut out of opportunities in this depressed economy. No wonder that there is an interest in knowing how to make money when you have none. The good news is that the internet marketing arena has the necessary tools to allow someone to get in business for themselves without spending any money.

I recently discovered a course called The No Cost Income Stream and it was developed by Eric Holmlund. Eric is just a regular married guy with six kids living in the foothills of Colorado. What makes Eric exceptional is that he supports his family entirely by the earnings he makes from his online businesses

I learned about Eric several years ago when  discovered his blog Eric's Tips. I am a subscriber to his posts and I can tell you that he is just a common man doing something that most of us only dream of. In this course Eric proves that you can indeed learn how to make money online with no money

In fact, Eric teaches you how to find free resources that provide no cost ways of getting a domain, hosting and an autoresponder. He teaches how to build lists and master the world of affiliate marketing. He will teach you how to get no cost traffic too!

If you have ever wanted to live the internet lifestyle then I highly encourage you to check out this excellent and very inexpensive tutorial..

Why You Should Be Going Self Employed Part Time - Home Declutter Service

The Labor Department revealed to us this year that nearly 75% of all jobs created in this country are part time. Shadowstats.com indicates that the "real" unemployment numbers are closer to 20% not 7.3%. Another bummer of statistical knowledge is that a record 94 million Americans are out of the work force.  What's a person to do? The answer is to go self employed part time!
There are a number of business ideas that I am going to suggest in this short series. Today I want to ask you to consider the home declutter business. You might also know this opportunity as "space making" or "closet organizing". If you have been paying attention to the television programming in the last few years you would know that there is growing interest in making the most of your existing housing situation since most people can't afford to buy a different home. Shows like "Love It Or List It" and "Hoarders" remind us that people are pigs for the most part and desperately need some help keeping their "stuff/junk" organized.
This business is tied to the remodel and refurbish industry but it does not require a contractor's license. Anyone can do this business. There are a growing number of resources available now that give the tools that would be needed and most importantly how to market your services. I want to remind you that I have a free video course on how to set up a free website and place it on page one of Google without hosting costs or domain name costs. I highly recommend this course, you can sign up here.
Job security is a vanishing commodity in today's marketplace and it is especially important to have some back up plan in place. There is a peace of mind knowing you don't have all your financial eggs in one basket and self employment is an American birth right that you should pursue. The problem for many folks is just finding the right niche idea. I hope that you will find this site to be a source of fresh suggestions for reaching your own version of self reliance.
Finally, not only is self employment a great idea for you emotionally and financially, it is a great opportunity to gain some tax savings as well. Explore the IRS website and see all of the advantages of operating a part time, second income, home business!

Make Money With Fotolia, Shutterstock, Dotphoto, istockphoto and many more!

I like to write articles online and post youtube videos. If you are like me you know one thing for sure and that it is hard to get a good selection of digital photos to post on your sites. If you are unwilling to spend any money for photos then you are going to have to settle for very poor public domain sites that have poor quality and low quantities of the photos you need. If you are willing to invest a little money for top notch images then you know that there are some great sites that offer thousands of images to meet your needs. But I bet that you didn't know that you could make good money selling digital camera pictures on these same sites! That's right, you can make money with Fotolia, Shutterstock and scores of other sites and you can begin today.
Here is how it works. These sites are kind of like Amazon for photos. They provide a venue to display your digital goods for sale. Fotolia has a huge library of images available for professionals. You just sign up for a free account. You then just upload your images along with searchable keyword tags. Fotolia pays for two different categories of photos. The first  is for single image downloads from which you  earn anywhere from 20%- 63% for each image. The second category is for when your image is sold via subscription download. Another site that is very lucrative to join is Shutterstock. It is free to contribute your images. You just sign up, and you can earn anywhere from $0.25 all the way up to $28.00 per photo download. Other sites in which you can sell your images include the following...Shutterfly, Shutterpoint, Getty Images, Canstockphoto, Dotphoto, Alamy, Crestock, and istockphoto.
These types of images are known as "stock photos". There is a huge demand for stock photos because the internet is still growing at a staggering pace. It's been stated that the number of internet users doubles every 100 days. The number of web creators and YouTube makers has created an ever exploding need for cheap microstock photos. Believe me, you can make money with digital photos and you don't have to be a professional photographer either. You just need to be willing to learn some basic digital formatting and cropping and be willing to abide by the rules of these very generous sites that give you access to millions of hungry buyers. If you have been looking for a second income idea then you have found another excellent opportunity.

Here's to your success in a new found income opportunity!

Work For Amazon From Home - Honest Opportunity!

The very mention of the phrase "work from home jobs" conjures up bad thoughts of scams, fees, get rich quick schemes and other shady and gray propositions and no doubt you are probably frustrated in your search for genuine opportunities. But today I can offer you some hope! You can work for the worlds fastest growing online retailer, that's right, now you can work for Amazon from home!
In June of 2011 Amazon made a major commitment to attracting employees who want to work at home. They opened their Virtual Contact Center which allowed their associates to become home workers. The program has been a success for Amazon. This bold move is part of their Customer Connection approach to customer service. There are decided benefits for big companies to hire virtual workers. Studies have revealed that folks who work at home are more efficient and get more done in an average work day then their brick and mortar counterparts. There are fewer sick days and research indicates that people tend to increase their longevity with an employer if they have flexibility in their schedules. Virtual employees help their employers save money on space, equipment and energy costs. In their own words Amazon makes the following statement.."We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, flexible, detail oriented, and experienced planner to fill the role of VCC Administrative Assistant". This super company describes themselves as "customer centric" and my own extensive experience of being a customer allows me to agree with the statement. I have found myself buying more and more on the river! This amazing company offers a menu of benefits and competitive pay that make these jobs very appealing. If you are interested in exploring virtual customer service check out the possibilities at work for Amazon from home.

Virtual Work From Home Jobs May Be The Wave Of The Future

There are many terms that have been used to identify a desire in the heart of many American workers. We have heard the term "work from home", "telecommuting", "home based employment" and many others. The newest phrase is "virtual work" and it identifies how modern workers would like to do their jobs from home.
An organization called FlexJob recently did a survey and their findings were startling. They found that an increasingly large portion of the American work force wants to have flexibility in their job and that flexibility extends to the option of working at home. Here is a sampling of what they found.

FlexJob's survey shows that 82 percent of employees seeking to work virtually have a college degree, with 35 percent of those holding a graduate degree. The majority are females, aged 30 to 49 years old. More than half are at an "experienced" career level, while 26 percent are managers and 9 percent are executives.

The survey made one thing clear: for employees who have children, family was the No. 1 priority. Ninety-six percent of those surveyed felt that having a traditional full-time job conflicts at least a little bit with taking care of a family. They feel, it seems, that they're often being asked to choose between the two—work or family—and that the decision is unfair

There is an undeniable movement away from brick and mortar businesses and toward virtual "work at home" models. So powerful is this movement that FlexJob found that 93% of those surveyed would even be willing to take a pay cut in order to avoid a commute and be with their children. In fact, 43% said they would love to work 20 to 29 hours and 32% said they would be happy working 30 to 39 hours! It seems to me that this virtual environment would help companies save money and it would help Americans to save their families. .
It is the goal of this site to provide some ideas for virtual work and second incomes. Previously, I had written about opportunities with Elance .  I would encourage you to check out this excellent resource. I would also like to introduce you to a resource that assists anyone who would like to become a virtual work assistant
The old work paradigm of driving to a distant brick and mortar location is fading. The technology explosion is opening all kinds of new avenues to make a living in the confines of your home. I wish you the best as you seek to find more flexibility in your work environment and add needed income to your household budget!.

The Importance Of A Second Source Of Income - Need Some Ideas?

I like to blog and I like to read good blogs. I stumbled upon a great financial related blog the other day at www.yourpfpro.com. Harry Campbell is the creator of this site and he wrote a great post on July 25, 2012, entitled "Do You Have A Second Source Of Income?". Here is a snippet of that article...

_________________________________________________________________________________
A second source of income is different than a second job.  A second job is something that you have to do to survive while a second source of income should be from something that you enjoy.  In the best case scenario, your second source of income could even become your main source.  I know a few online entrepreneurs who have been able to quit their full time job and work full time for themselves.  Even though this is probably the exception, and not the rule, it’s nice to see some success from like minded individuals.
What job would you choose if you had enough money to do whatever you want?  Whatever your answer is, try to turn that into your second source of income.  There are many avenues available online and offline that will allow you to sell your services or products.  In college, my main job was going to school, but I also tutored local high school students in geometry and algebra.  I have always been good at math and science so I used my skills to teach others and got paid for it.
___________________________________________________________________________________

I like the idea of a second source of income being a source of income that comes from doing something you like to do, something you are passionate about. I am passionate about writing but I am not passionate about delivering pizzas. The pizza gig would be a second job but writing can be a second income!
The spirit of this blog is to present internet searchers with some simple, low cost, low risk second income ideas. Notice, I did not name this site the "second job ideas"! So I will be writing about some of my discoveries and making some recommendations and my hope is that you'll discover something on this site that you are passionate about and would like to explore as a second income idea.
Today I wanted to let you know about a unique program called FIVERR BLITZ. For those of you who are not familiar with www.fiverr.com it is a site where you can find thousands of people who will do a multitude of jobs for you for only $5.00. Daniel Evans discovered a method of taking advantage of this cheap labor and starting a home based business that has allowed him to become completely self employed. Mr. Evans has decided to sell his amazing method for a ridiculously low price. I hope you'll check it out and see if this is a possible second income idea for you. That's all I've got today, I'll be back soon.

Three Dead Simple Reasons For Starting A Pet Care Business

Times are tough and if you are trying to find a financial niche and you love animals then I have three compelling reasons for starting a pet care business.
Number one reason:  The pet care industry is recession proof. A recent survey revealed that of the thousands of pet owners who were questioned about their pet a whopping 66% regard their pet as a surrogate child! That may seem twisted to you but the truth of the matter is Americans love their pet and a sluggish economy is not going to stop them from spending money on grooming and care.
Number two reason:  The number of pets in this country is exploding. You would think that with a bad economy people would be looking for ways to cut expenses and adding a pet to the budget would be ruled out. Think again! There are 69 million homes in this country that have pets. That is up from 64 million in 2002. . Americans currently own approximately 73 million dogs and 90 million cats. I hope you got the full impact of those numbers, 73 million dogs and there are 5 million puppies born every year! Pets are a wonderful reliever of stress and in these difficult times people are finding a distraction in their pets. Pets need grooming, training, sitting, walking and a host of other services. You might just be the right personality to begin a very lucrative and easy startup business in pet care.
Number three reason:  There is a very low threshold of financial risk in starting a pet care business and there are some excellent step by step resources on how to get into this service sector. There is a great demand for contract walking, contract sitting, pet waste removal, pet grooming and pet products distribution.
I have recently discovered a blueprint for a pet care business that I want to recommend. The author of this course makes the following statement...

"I've taken years of success in residential pet care and put it into a simple, direct and easy to use success kit that will give you a career that takes your love of animals and sets you up for a life that's emotionally & financially rewarding.
Be your own boss!
